While studying at the Tashkent Aviation Professional College, specializing in mechanical assembly work, I did an internship at General Motors Powertrain - Uzbekistan, where I developed a great interest in this plant. In 2011, I decided to get a job at the Company as an operator of programmed machines.
Having worked in this position for over a year, I have studied many of the processes of the Global Manufacturing System. Then I was promoted to a master, where I gained experience in the field of team management. In 2014, I moved to the position of senior foreman and deepened my knowledge in the field of the Global Manufacturing System, successfully managed the production site and was engaged in process improvements according to the KAIZEN procedure (reducing the number of rejects, optimizing the time spent, etc.).
In 2018, I moved to the Manufacturing Engineering Department as a Manufacturing Engineer on a crankshaft machining line. Here I studied engineering programs such as: AutoCad, Statistical Data Analysis. In addition, I introduced improvements to production processes. In 2019, I became а Lead Manufacturing and Global Manufacturing Standards Factory engineer and Global Manufacturing System Leader. Today I function as a Maintenance Area Manager
What fears did you have?
Most of all I was afraid that I would not be able to meet the expectations of colleagues when moving to another position. I worked hard on myself to give more than it is required of me. I was lucky because there were always people all around who helped me make the right decisions and contributed to my professional and personal development.
How is the company different from others?
The biggest difference lies in the successfully adapted corporate culture of General Motors, which has contributed to the introduction of modern management and production methods. In addition, our Company places great emphasis on the development of employees, in particular, in 2015 I went to France, where I received training on the repair of machine tools, in 2017 in Moscow I took training in programming CNC machine tools. Our Company creates all conditions for employees to be able to effectively carry out their work.
