Today, 27 October 2022, a delegation from General Motors (GM) headed by GM Senior Vice President and President of GM International Shilpan Amin, visited our UzAuto Motors Powertrain plant.

The visit was timed to coincide with an important milestone in the history of the UzAuto Motors Powertrain plant - the launch of the first batch of new-generation CSS Prime engines, which will be used in future Chevrolet Onix and Chevrolet Tracker vehicles.

Earlier, representatives of General Motors International visited the UzAuto Motors plant in Asaka as part of a working visit. During the meeting, several agreements were signed to expand cooperation.

The delegation was given a tour of the UzAuto Motors Powertrain plant's workshops, including the foundry, machining line, and CSS Prime engine assembly line. GM representatives remarked on the assembly line's smooth operation and high technological efficiency. Further important company goals were discussed during the working meeting, including a gradual increase in the percentage of localization of componets for new generation engines.
