On June 12, 2026, UzAuto Motors Powertrain held a ceremonial event dedicated to World Environment Day.
The event provided an opportunity to recognize employees who have made significant contributions to the development of the company’s environmental culture, the implementation of environmental initiatives, the promotion of sustainable development principles, and the fostering of a responsible attitude toward the environment.
During the event, the results of environmental projects, competitions, and initiatives implemented throughout the year were reviewed, and awards were presented to winners and the most active participants.
The winner of the “Best Environmental CI Project” nomination was the project “Production of Organic Fertilizer from Plant Waste.” The project was developed by Shohiddin Komilov (FO Department) and Shokhrukh Nishonboyev (Ecology Department). As a result of the project’s implementation, a process for recycling plant waste into vermicompost was established, contributing to more efficient resource utilization and a reduction in environmental impact.
The award for the Best Environmental Near Miss was presented to Evgeniy Nekrasov from the Maintenance Department of the Production Division. He was recognized for his proactive approach and effective resolution of an environmental issue that helped prevent a potential negative impact on the environment.
The title of “Most Active ISO 14001 Internal Auditor” was awarded to Shokrom Akbarov from the FO Department in recognition of his strong engagement and contribution to maintaining and continuously improving the company’s Environmental Management System. During the event, all ISO 14001 internal auditors were also acknowledged for successfully conducting internal audits throughout the year and supporting the development of environmental awareness across the organization.
Congratulating the winners and participants, the company’s Ecology Team and UMPT General Director Saidazim Gulyamov expressed their gratitude to employees for their initiative, responsible approach to environmental protection, and active participation in the company’s environmental projects.
