UzAuto Motors Powertrain held a “Car-Free Day” environmental campaign as part of a nationwide initiative launched in Uzbekistan on May 1, 2026. Under this initiative, Car-Free Day campaigns are conducted twice a month, on the 10th and 25th, with the goal of reducing the environmental impact of transportation.
UMPT employees actively supported the initiative, contributing to the reduction of harmful emissions into the atmosphere. On this day, many employees chose to travel by corporate shuttle buses, public transportation, or on foot instead of using their personal vehicles.
As part of the campaign, the company introduced three special nominations: “Most Exemplary Manager,” “Most Exemplary Department,” and “Most Exemplary Employee.”
The winner of the “Most Exemplary Employee” nomination was Murodjon Akhmadjonov from the FO Department. He shared his experience of participating in the campaign and spoke about the benefits of using alternative modes of transportation.
The title of “Most Exemplary Manager” was awarded to Fizuli Kashimov, Director of the Quality Control Department. Throughout the year, he used the company shuttle bus more frequently than any other manager, setting a positive example of environmental responsibility and commitment to sustainable development.
The Machining Shop of the Production Department received the “Most Exemplary Department” award, achieving the highest employee participation rate in the campaign among all company divisions.
