A biomimicry seminar was held at UzAuto Motors Powertrain as part of the activities dedicated to World Environment Day.

The theme of World Environment Day 2026 was “Inspired by Nature. For the Climate. For Our Future.” In line with this theme, seminar participants were introduced to the principles of biomimicry — an approach that studies natural systems and mechanisms and applies them to solve engineering, manufacturing, and organizational challenges.

During the seminar, participants explored examples of how natural systems and processes have inspired companies around the world to develop innovative products, improve production processes, and enhance operational efficiency.

The practical part of the seminar was conducted in a team-based format. Participants worked together to develop their own ideas for applying biomimicry principles within the company, drawing inspiration from natural mechanisms and models of organization.

Following the team presentations, the winning project was submitted by employees from the BDOHC and CSS PRIME assembly shops. Their team proposed an initiative to improve assembly production processes based on the organizational principles observed in ant colonies.

Nature has been refining its solutions for millions of years, and the seminar demonstrated that many of these principles can serve as a valuable source of innovative and effective ideas for improving production processes and enhancing the company’s overall performance.
