As part of World Environment Day on June 5, employees of JSC UzAuto Motors Powertrain visited the Kadyriya Water Treatment Plant, one of the key facilities in the capital’s water supply system.

During the tour, participants learned about the complete drinking water treatment process, modern water quality control methods, and the environmentally friendly technologies used at the plant to provide the population with safe and high-quality drinking water.

Plant specialists explained that water is sourced from surface water bodies and is initially stored in an artificial reservoir with a capacity of 500,000 cubic meters. It then undergoes several stages of treatment using advanced technological solutions.

Today, the Kadyriya Water Treatment Plant supplies high-quality drinking water to approximately 70% of Tashkent’s population. In addition, clean drinking water is delivered to residents of certain districts in the Tashkent region, including the Zangiata and Tashkent districts. The plant supplies around 70,000 cubic meters of treated water to consumers every hour.

The main objective of the event was to raise employees’ environmental awareness, draw attention to the importance of rational water resource management, and promote a responsible attitude toward the environment.

At the end of the visit, participants emphasized the importance of preserving natural resources and noted that protecting water resources, using water responsibly, and caring for the environment are essential responsibilities for every individual and society as a whole.
